Abiding in Christ

Abide in me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can you except you abide in me.-John 15:14

Four special purposes for abiding in our Lord Jesus Christ:

1. Answered Prayer-"If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you." John 15:7


2.Peace in the Storm-"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." John 16:33


3. New Life-Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17


4. Robe of Righteousness-And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith. Phillipians 3:9
