7 Key Guidelines to Gaining Victory in Spiritual Warfare

Many Scriptures point to our involvement in active spiritual combat, in which we must conduct ourselves as good soldiers. No wonder then, that learning how to gain victory in this warfare is so important. Below are a few provided guidelines or actions taken from the Scriptures that will help us along the way:

1. Remember, the battle is the Lord's. Trust your battles to Him, and rest in His victory. He will fight for you. Deut. 3:21,22.
2. Be confident that God will supply the dynamic for all He demands. Understand that our life in Christ is a life of faith. Depend upon His constant provision. Deut. 30:11-14
3.Submit yourself continually to Jesus leadership in your life. Acknowledge that He comes as the Captain of His army to lead us to victory. Jashua 5:14,15
4. Be assured that regardless of the strength of the enemy, God can and will enable you to prevail. Jashua 17:18
5. Rely on the Lord's wisdom, strength and abilities when confronting spiritual opposition. Be assured that man, who is finite, cannot prevail against God. 2Chro. 13:18; 14:11; 32:7,8
6. Stand in readiness for spiritual combat. Recognize that your demonic enemies are behind much of what comes against you to harm you. Eph. 6:10-13
7. Each day, consciously put on the spiritual armor that God supplies. Learn and understand the nature of this divine protection. Eph. 6:14-17

Note: Study the book of Jashua and you will understand that Jashua is a type of Christ who always leads His people in victory and triumph. Our victories result from surrendering to Jesus lordship and allowing Him to work through us to overcome our obstacles and adversities. Exodus reveals God as "The Lord our Banner" (that is, "Our Victory", or "Our Miracle") forever secures victory for God's people. Victory in spiritual battles comes as we rely upon the Lord to fight on our behalf. This is what it means to trust the Lord in battle and stand still to see His deliverance.
